Beginning with an idea, and a visual image, I choose the appropriate shape of carving wax- be it tube or flat sheet. I begin carving away the excess wax, keeping the vision of the finished piece in my my mind. When I start to carve, I have very strong close up glasses on which help keep my mind focused. Then I start my project. Sometimes it takes a 2 days, sometimes 2 weeks.
